Common activities in this particular region of Greece include snowboarding, skiing and mountain biking.

Syggrou is 15 miles (24 kilometers) northwest of Athens Coast and features Onassis Cultural Centre and Tomb of Heinrich Schliemann. When you want to stay in Syggrou, check out the Nina's Athenian Loft and AVA Hotel & Suites. For another option, stay in Exarhia, 16 miles (26 kilometers) northwest of Athens Coast, where you'll find the Electra Palace Athens and New Hotel. The Museum and Study Centre of Greek Theatre and Fournos Theatre are more frequented places to visit while in Exarhia.

If you plan to arrive by air, Eleftherios Venizelos Airport is a primary airport for Athens Coast. Nearby is Sofitel Athens Airport.

"I had a very pleasant 4-night solo stay at the Poseidon Hotel which is either new or recently renovated. My standard room did not have a sea view but was fresh and clean and had a tiny balcony. The bathroom was spotless and there was an abundant supply of hot water with good pressure in the shower. Tea and coffee and a complimentary water were provided. The breakfast is outstanding - everything you could possible want - and the breakfast area is large and light with plenty of tables. The staff were all pleasant and helpful and patiently allowed me to practice my very basic Greek on them. If I have one small criticism it is that the restaurant offers almost no Greek food. I can get hamburgers and pizza and pastas anywhere; it would be nice to have a Greek menu!"
